About the Memorial Hospital
The Memorial Hospital has a long and proud tradition of providing outstanding private healthcare in North Adelaide. The Memorial Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital and is a proud member of the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) in South Australia. ACHA is an Association governed by a Board of six Directors elected and appointed by its members in accordance with it's Constitution.
ACHA enjoys a contractual agreement with Healthscope Operations Pty Ltd that sees ACHA retain responsibility for strategic direction and governance while Healthscope takes care of daily management of operations.
Established as a memorial to veterans of World War I, The Memorial Hospital has served the community since 1920. Our landmark heritage building is situated in the picturesque parklands, within one kilometre of Adelaide’s CBD and within walking distance of Adelaide Oval.
The Memorial Hospital is committed to providing the highest possible standards of patient care, with 100 beds, Critical Care Unit and Medical Officers rostered on-site 24/7
In collaboration with our specialists, The Memorial Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties including, but not limited to, general medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat surgery), orthopaedics, paediatrics, plastics and reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation (inpatient and day).
